Project VTECH: Branding Phase
We have just completed the branding phase of the project. This process involved summarizing our cultural probe data, survey responses, demographic info. and intuition into one concise document which encapsulated each persona. Using this information we then created a brand for each different product segment i.e netbooks, ereaders, etc. We formed the eight brands using core values each set of users are looking for in their products. These brands have there own brand laguage, color schemes, and interaction characteriscts. This will give us a clear vision of how and what to design. To paraphrase Prof. Fossick - This technique is like taking aim with a shotgun for 5 feet away so that you nail it on the first round.
