I just finished a design charette through SCAD. In case your unfamiliar with a Charette it is a project devoted to a singular goal of design which utilizes a team of designers to generate a solution or set of solutions in a short period of time (in this case a weekend). The focus of this project was on Kicker, it's marketing partners and the Livin' Loud lifestyle. We were forchunate enough to be joined by BMW Design Group designer and SCAD alumni, Jirawat Jeamvigite, who helped us along the way. Our focus was the family and it's members. I chose the daughter. Her name is Stacy and she is 14. She is a cheerleader, very active and wants something stylish while allowing her to organize and simply her life. This two concepts are designed to make her busy life easier while enhancing her image with her friends.

The Oakley
speaker backpack allows Stacy to throw down her latest routine for cheer while keeping her books safe. Her Oakley wireless ear buds are stylish enough to wear anytime and take away the hasle of cords which get caught up in her backpack.

It was a great experience even though it left me completely drained and even behind in a few classes. My main take away (besides the coffee, pizza and donuts) was the importance of a good group dynamic, which we had. It's also amazing to see what a group can produce in such a short period of time if they really focus.
